Microsoft Access - Introduction

Introduction

This one-day course is intended for new users of Access. The course introduces delegates to the main Access components: tables, queries, forms, and reports. Delegates design a new database by first creating a table, and adding data, and then create queries, forms and reports to enhance the database. All courses are highly interactive and we encourage all delegates to join in, to enhance their own learning process.

Course Aims

To provide an introduction to Access for people who are unfamiliar with the application and to show the general structure of a relational database and how it functions.

Course Objectives

  • By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
  • Create and edit a database table
  • Use queries to select data
  • View and edit data using a form
  • Create and edit simple reports to display data from queries or tables
  • Pre-requisites
  • We recommend that all those who attend are able to:
  • Familiar with Windows and mouse operations.
