DISC Behavioural Awareness
Introduction
An interactive course focused on developing the awareness that the profiles offer. This assessment enables participants to learn more about each other in 15 minutes than they could working together for a whole year.
Course Aim
To provide an opportunity for participants to understand how they naturally behave and react to others, and how others react to them.
Course objectives
- To understand the natural behaviours others possess
- To understand how to create win-win outcomes
- To understand where interpersonal conflict comes from
- To develop effective communication strategies for all aspects of their personal and professional lives.
Pre requisites
Participants to complete an online DISC profile prior to the course (costed per person)
Course content
Communication
- Who you communicate to, and how to adapt your communication style to each individual.
Non Verbal Communication
- The effect you have on others through your non-verbal communication.
Individual Differences
- The benefits of adapting your behaviour.
Behavioural
- How you respond to problems and challenges.
- How you influence others to your point of view.
- How you respond to the pace of the environment.
- How you respond to rules and procedures set by others.
Managing Conflict
- Why we disagree.
- How to challenge with respect and how to react when challenged by others.
- How to tell others what you want and expect from them.
- How behaviour affects others and how to effectively interact with the behaviour of others.
