Microsoft Outlook - Introduction

Introduction

This course introduces delegates to Outlook and covers sending and receiving email, using email attachments, setting up a contacts list, working with the calendar and creating a "to do" list with tasks. All courses are highly interactive and we encourage all delegates to join in, to enhance their learning process.

Course Aims

To show how Microsoft Outlook can be used for sending and receiving e-mail and organising a Calendar. This course is aimed for delegates with no previous experience of Outlook.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • Use all the Outlook parts (inbox, contacts, calendar, journal, tasks and notes)
  • Send and receive email
  • Set up a contacts list
  • Organise a calendar

Pre-requisites

We recommend that all those who attend are able to:

  • Use the mouse to select and open menus and icons

  • Adding a meeting
  • Scheduling a meeting and inviting other attendees

  • Creating a task list
  • Prioritising tasks
  • Completing tasks
  • Forwarding tasks to others
