PC Awareness & Windows

Introduction

This one-day course is designed for users new to PCs and Windows. On completion of this course, delegates will be able to navigate around the filing system on a PC, locate files, open applications and customise Windows. This instructor led course will be a combination of group discussion and hands-on practice. All courses are highly interactive and we encourage all delegates to join in, to enhance their learning process.

Course Aims

To provide delegates who have only limited knowledge of the PC with an understanding of its capabilities how to use it to run programmes and understand the file structure.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • Identify the main hardware and software components of a PC and use a mouse
  • Create and manage folders and files
  • Open applications and perform basic functions
  • Customise the Windows environment
