Microsoft PowerPoint - Introduction

Introduction

This course is designed to give a thorough introduction to the basic skills needed to use PowerPoint effectively. This one-day instructor led course will be a combination of group discussion and hands-on practice. Each section of the course will provide an opportunity to explore the new subject area, followed by an exercise to reinforce learning. All courses are highly interactive and we encourage all delegates to join in, to enhance their learning process.

Course Aims

To provide an introduction to using Microsoft PowerPoint for the creation of presentations for users with no previous experience.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • Create, edit and run a professional presentation
  • Use transition and animation effects to enliven a presentation
  • Apply design templates to change the look of a presentation
  • Use keyboard and mouse shortcuts for completion of basic tasks

Pre-requisites

We recommend that all those who attend are able to:

  • Use Windows and carry out mouse operations

  • Adding a slide with a clip art picture
  • Applying transition effects
  • Running the slide show
  • Printing slides
  • Printing speaker's notes and audience handouts
