Practical Spillage Response Training

All spillages on site can have far reaching effects on our business, that is why it is critical that all spillages or loss of containments are controlled as quickly and safely as possible, not only may there be environmental implications, there are always implications on the health of your staff. This half-day programme is designed for operators who form part of your first response to a spillage or loss of containment of hazardous substances. This programme is ideal if you are looking to demonstrate competence for ISO 14001.

  • Site Specific Hazardous Materials
  • Staff Response Requirements including:

  • Supervisors controlling the incident

Emergency Procedures

  • Site Specific Emergency Procedures
  • Factors to consider when setting up an effective cordon
  • Personnel Protective Equipment
  • Site Specific Spillage Equipment
  • Spillage Containment, including the use of foam

Risk Assessment

  • Considerations to be taken into account as the incident develops
  • Spillage Risk Assessment:
    (Access, Communications, Data Retrieval, Control, Personnel Safety, Decontamination, Additional Hazards)

Practical Workshop

  • On Site Practical Exercise
