Microsoft Word - Introduction
Introduction
This course is designed to give a thorough introduction to the basic skills needed to use Word effectively. This one-day instructor led course will be a combination of group discussion and hands-on practice. Each section of the course will provide an opportunity to explore the new subject area, followed by an exercise to reinforce learning. All courses are highly interactive and we encourage all delegates to join in, to enhance their learning process.
Course Aims
To provide the delegate who has no previous experience with Word an introduction to the functionality and use of the application covering the basics of setting up and Formatting a document.
Course Objectives
- By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
- Create short letters and documents enhanced with different font styles and effects
- Prepare documents of differing page sizes, orientation (portrait/landscape) and margin size for printing
- Use keyboard and mouse shortcuts for completion of basic tasks
- Pre-requisites
- We recommend that all those who attend are able to:
- Use the mouse to select and open menus and icons
- Identify and use the Shift, Ctrl, TAB and Home keys on the keyboard
